SpeakEasy is Southcentral Alaska's Premier Spoken Word & Performance Venue the performance space for the hottest local poets, HBO Def poets, Grammy Award winning, Internationally known spoken word performance poets, live musicians, smokin DJ's and more. To date SpeakEasy has played host to Shihan "The Prototype, Seattle's Christa Bell, Baltimore's Kom Plex, the one and only Taalam Acey, San Fran's Scorpio Blues, New Orlean's own Sunni Patterson, her awesomeness Georgia ME, Abyss, the Canadian wonder C. R. Avery and 13 of Nazareth.
SpeakEasy is a fusion of Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk, Rock and Words. SpeakEasy is where spoken word lives in Alaska. SpeakEasy is recommended for audiences 18 and over.
