13 Aug 2011 To Whom It May Concern; I had occasion to visit your Northway Mall Store yesterday, 12 Aug 2011 at 8:30 AM on my way to the office. I had been looking forward to a cup of your BK JOE at Burger King for quite a while. You see I have been outside the country in Eastern Europe for over a year and your stores there are rare. As you might guess, I was very disappointed in your change to Seattle’s Best. I do NOT like Seattle’s Best or Starbucks Coffee. Until I left for Europe about 18 months ago, I stopped at the Northway Mall store daily, 7 Days per week for my morning coffee and sometimes a sandwich. I had been stopping there for a meal regularly since Larry Baker first open that store; but your BK Coffee made me a daily visitor. I had hoped to re-start that routine but I do NOT like your NEW coffee. Another NOTE; the store was filthy; I had never seen it look so poorly. The men’s room was out of paper towels, the lights bulbs were out in the men’s room and needed replacing. The restaurant floor appeared as though it had NOT been mopped in days. In closing, your store manager is arrogant. His appearance in braided hair stacked on his head like a ‘jungle warrior’ resembles the pictures of ‘gang banger’ I have used to trained my children to stay away from unless they are ‘healed’ (armed with a weapon). My 3 daughters use silhouettes of figures like that for pistol target practice. In addition to his appearance, he did NOT or would NOT speak English; he grunted in response to customers placing an order. You should consider re-hiring Linda Smith the former manager of that store a few years ago. She greeted her customers with a smile every morning and had worked for BK as far back as when Larry Baker was running the franchise successfully. In addition to her, you might consider re-hiring that special needs person who kept that store clean for over 20 years. She may have had special needs but she was a good worker and did a good job in keeping that store clean. Well, I hope this critique is helpful. I believe if you have a complaint about something, you should contact the owners about fixing the problem rather than telling every Tom, Dick and Harry about the BAD experience. JD JDRENV@GMAIL.COM
